Play the Sustainable Calgary STAMPEDE BINGO!

Whether you are a Rodeo regular or Stampede hater, you have to admit that the first few weeks of July are transformative in Calgary. Hay litters the streets and gingham becomes appropriate office wear, as the city becomes a Western Wonderland.

As people with a passion for dynamic and engaged cities, we can’t help but notice the great things during Stampede we’d love to see year round: a buzzing inner city, full buses, and 24 hour C-train service. More than any time of year, we see car-oriented spaces become activated as parking lots become pancake breakfasts and festival tents, and busy downtown streets become parade routes. Stampede has a unique ability to get people from all walks of life active, visiting the inner-city, and into a yahoo spirit.

From July 4th - 13th, we invite you to explore how this event can energize the city into a more active, welcoming place by playing the Sustainable Calgary STAMPEDE BINGO!

How to Play

Pick-up a print copy of the BINGO card at Pages Books, or download one here.

Fill up your card while you enjoy your Stampede week. The card includes things to spot and challenges to complete.

Complete a Line, X , or Blackout on your card, (no cheating!)

Submit your completed card at Pages Books by July 25th for entries into a draw for a $75 gift card.
A line gets you 1 entry, an X: 3 entries, and Blackout: 5 entries.

This Stampede season, we’re raising funds to build the next generation of School Streets in Calgary—because the new frontier isn’t out on the range. It’s right here in our neighbourhoods.

With your support, we turned a bold student idea into the Connaught Open Street—a safer, more playful space outside Connaught School that’s now permanent.

We’ve also got funding to prototype two more School Streets. But that funding only covers the basics. To go further, to support communities, engage students, evaluate impact, and push for permanent change, we need your help.

Donate $30 or more and we’ll send you a limited-edition Summer Fun in the City Postcard Pack

Each pack includes 5 postcard invites and instructions for unique summer activities to do with your friends. You can also grab a pack at Pages Books for $30 with proceeds supporting our work!
