What is public space for? Who is it for?

About half of urban land in most North American cities is devoted to cars. But mounting evidence suggests there are downsides to prioritizing cars above other uses. This TEDxYYC talk revisits assumptions about how we use public space and highlights some of Sustainable Calgary’s work with communities, that reimagines neighbourhoods for better health outcomes.
